Liz Onken is an artist from Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a BFA in Fine Art concentrating in Painting and Drawing. Her work explores the organic side of line, form, and composition through a multitude of media. Her process is evident in her intricate weavings with the many textured layers of fabric and various found materials offering a sculptural experience for viewer. The imagery in her paintings is derived from dystopic and abstracted views of everyday life exploring color and composition through multimedia. She has shown her artwork throughout the South East and was featured as an emerging artist in Art Collector World magazine.
